Petsmart

PetSmart Charities, Inc. is a nonprofit animal welfare organization with a mission to find lifelong, loving homes for all pets by supporting programs and thought leadership that bring people and pets together. In addition to finding homes for over 500,000 homeless pets each year through its in-store adoption program in all PetSmart stores across the U.S. and Puerto Rico, PetSmart Charities provides funding to non-profits aligned with its mission through key areas of grant support. Each year, millions of generous PetSmart shoppers help pets in need by donating to PetSmart Charities using the PIN pads at checkout registers inside PetSmart stores. In turn, PetSmart Charities efficiently uses 90 cents of every dollar donated and has become the leading funder of animal welfare in North America, donating more than $340 million to date. PetSmart Charities, a 501(c)(3) organization, has received the Four Star Rating from Charity Navigator, an independent organization that reports on the effectiveness, accountability and transparency of nonprofits, for the past 15 years -- placing it among the top one percent of charities rated by this organization.

Saundra’s Furniture

Saundra’s Furniture and Design first opened in 1994. The business at 279 South Main was previously Egger’s Furniture when Alan and Saundra Wilma purchased it with silent partners Donna and John Armstrong. The building had been used as a multitude of things over the years. Before it was a furniture store it had been used as gas station, a car dealership and a part of it was a jewelry store. It was home to Saundra’s Furniture from 1994 to 2013, when it went up in flames one Saturday evening after closing. Fire fighters arrived about 8 pm and the building was already engulfed with flames as high as 120 feet in the air. It was a total loss and devastating to the town.

After the leftovers were hauled off, the location sat empty for two years during the process of rebuilding. During this time, Saundra’s Furniture used an abandoned pizza factory, old clothing store, the basement of Chase bank and several locations around town to continue business. The community displayed their encouragement and sought out Saundra’s out wherever they could to support them. Saundra’s remodeled their 6,000 sq. foot warehouse to house a temporary showroom until the permanent showroom was back on Main Street. On Black Friday 2015, Saundra’s Furniture was "Back on Main" and re-opened again.

Zips Drive-In Colville

Thanks to the local Zips Drive-In, we are able to provide families with kidz breakfast coupons in our stay-at-home, animal-themed education packs! When Furry Tales was cancelled, we had to find a way to let our kiddos know we’re here and thinking of them. Zips thought the same. We are so thankful for the donation from Earla Bayne at Zips Drive-In in Colville! Pick up a Kids Edu-Pack on Saturday, April 18th during our Pet Food Bank hours 12:30pm-3:30pm. Make sure to support your local Zips during this time of great uncertainty!
